ENR Southwest Announced Best Project Winners 2017
ENR Southwest announced the winners of its 2017 Best Projects competition, which includes projects from Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico. The Bob & Renee Parsons Leadership Center for Girls and Women at Camp South Mountain won Best Project the category of “Cultural/Worship” project type and Regional Project of the Year 2017. The winning projects will be covered in the November issue of ENR Southwest and honored at an event in Phoenix, Arizona on November 8, 2017.

Mesa Community College Student Portal Complex: Finalist in Arizona Forward’s 37th Annual Environmental Excellence Awards Program
The Mesa Community College Student Portal Complex has been selected as a finalist in the Buildings and Structures – Commercial and Institutional category of Arizona Forward’s 37th Annual Environmental Excellence Awards program presented by SRP public power utilities. The Arizona Forward Environmental Excellence Awards program recognizes outstanding contributions to the sustainability of Arizona cities and towns, addressing the following criteria:
• Preservation or enhancement of environmental quality
• Integration and compatibility with the natural environment
• Integration and compatibility with the man-made environment
• Conservation of natural resources and/ or creation/preservation of habitat
• Contribution to environmental awareness, education and cultural and aesthetic appreciation
The awards gala will be held on Saturday, September 23. All finalists will be featured in the special section of the Phoenix Business Journal on Friday, August 18.
