Flip-a-Strip Exhibitors Announced

The Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art [SMoCA], Arizona, organized a design competition and public exhibition, Flip a Strip. This innovative project aims to foster creative, pragmatic new visions for the renovation of the small-scale strip shopping plazas that line the streets of this metropolitan area—and virtually every suburban zone in the country. Flip a Strip is a showcase for architectural talent as well as an idea-generator: it seeks to highlight useful and innovative concepts for the sustainable re-use of Strip Malls and to launch productive public dialog about the potential of good design and civic engagement.

Out off the 95 entrants from several countries, 10 finalists were selected, among them Marlene Imirzian & Associates Architects. We have created a visual exploration of our design solution that will be on display in the museum. We are delighted at having been selected, and are proud to be among such brilliant company.
